What about those who signed the petition?

Re: “B.C. asked to force poll on merging,” June 15.
My question for municipal governments, such as Colwood and Oak Bay, who lament only “one or two” people are interested in studying a level of regional amalgamation: How do they account for the number of citizens of their respective communities who took the time to sign our petition?
I hope the regional population is awakened to what is going on and will not allow the indifference among many of our 91 mayors and councillors to stifle their voice from being heard on the fall ballot.
