Bravo, Jack Knox! Exiled to Ottawa 25 years ago from the Lalaland Capital, as Victoria was then whimsically but proudly known, I must applaud Knox’s tour de force.
I observed firsthand the several fiefdoms making up Greater Ottawa amalgamate several years ago, not without difficulty, but relatively smoothly and incontrovertibly in aid of good governance.
The Victoria sewage-project fiasco showers shame on this corner of Lalaland, as well as the municipal and provincial politicians who have lacked the vision and/or backbone to tackle either this issue or the more generalized problems of multi-municipal duplication, waste, fragmentation and impasse.
