Amalgamation would mean less spending
Times Colonist Letters

So what has the Capital Regional District done for us lately?
1. Spent many, many dollars on the sewage project and has nothing to show for that expenditure relating to the project.
2. Put aside $100,000 to spend to have a voice on the proposed northern pipeline.
3. Spent more dollars on the Oak Bay deer slaughter.
4. Plans to spend more dollars killing 250 Canada geese.
Seems there are a lot of things we have too many of, but I do not believe taxpayer dollars should be in that category.
Too many municipalities. Amalgamation would rid us of surplus politicians and the CRD would be unnecessary. Money spent to maintain the CRD could be spent more prudently.
