Amalgamation Yes turned out to be the big winner in the municipal election. With over 75 per cent of the overall voters voting for amalgamation on the non-binding referendum question. Congratulations to Amalgamation Yes on all the work they have put into this initiative. The Chamber continues to support amalgamation and will be involved in the next steps. The province has agreed to fund further studies based on the results of this referendum.
